We create our world through our thoughts and intentions. Right now the world focus is a little scary with so much negativity reigning in the media. Millions live and breathe what the media dictates to us. Fear begets control. While the masses live in fear of failure, fear of losing control, fear of standing out, fear of missing out, and fear of facing the truth, the elite are in control. The negative focus of the media breeds more negativity and so on it goes.

‘We print what sells!’ the media declare, yet fail to recognize that they are indeed the ones who are leading us down the garden path.

Watching the news and reading negativity in the newspaper debilitates my creative flow. I haven’t had a television for more than half of my life by choice, although am partial to documentaries if I happen to be somewhere and there’s one on. Some people are amazed or shocked at the thought of not having a television.

‘But what do you DO at night?’- Listen to music, dance, talk, read, draw, dream, discover!

Your creativity is compromised when you allow too much negative chatter to permeate your life. Whether it come from the media, other people or yourself. The media is the easiest to stop and gives more space to recognize other areas in your life that also may need to be addressed.

When you can tap into your true creative potential you are in the flow of life. Anything is possible. Like riding a wave you surf from one crest to the next, building momentum.

Try cutting out television for a few weeks (in particular the news) and instead go for a walk, read a book, play a game or talk to your family!

‘So, have you always been creative?’ – For as long as I have been alive!

It is generally believed that there are ‘creative people’ and ‘non creative’ people. As a child we are candid, open and sincere. We come into this world a creative soul and are each creative in our own way.

Sometimes the stress of life will make you lose connection with your creativity, intuition and imagination.

Steve Jobs once said ‘Believe that things will work out somehow… follow your intuition and curiosity… trust your heart even when it leads you off the well-worn path… you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future… the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking. Don‘t settle. As with all matters of the heart you’ll know when you find it… Have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.’

Respect your creative soul, believe you will succeed!
